no movie post today

because I have book things! plus we ended up turning off our Netflix movie because it was really boring.
Tomorrow is a big day - the release of the second AnnaBeth book - Devil in the Branch! I have some fun stuff planned for this week.

First up, an excerpt. The first five chapters of the book are available for reading on Scribd. Here is a link.

Also, I'm pleased to share that my interview with Darcia Helle from earlier this year is in her new ebook: A Word Please, Conversations with 24 Authors

It's available as a free download on her website at the link below.

Be sure to check out Darcia's books and of course, the other authors in the book in A Word Please.

That's all I have for now.

gratuitous moo and an awesome link

I took this picture of my fur baby, Max (aka Moo), the other day. I love it so I'm sharing. His paw has a pink spot because his new hobby is trying to lick off all his fur. He also has a bald spot near the front of his tail, which he is very sensitive about. He gets anxious and he also has seasonal allergies, so I'm pretty sure he is licking for one of these reasons. He's still my old baby. my old, bald butt baby.

The link below may be my new addiction. It's for the CG society. They have a mindblowingly amazing gallery of digital illustrations, 3D and such. They make me really want to step up my art game, for reals. It's like I'm over here scribbling with crayons. lol

don't be lame, homemade butterfinger bars, random word count update

I was reading a blog yesterday. It was actually a guest post on someone else's blog by an author who decided that Smashwords didn't work out for his ebook distribution. His books. His decision. Whatever.

I thought some of the comments that people left were kind of rude. I can understand if people don't agree, but when comments don't contribute to the blog or the conversation, I think not posting them is better. Keeping thoughts inside one's head is ok sometimes.

Anywayz. Check this out. This Momma lady has a video on her blog that shows you how to make homemade Butterfinger bars. AAAAAA!!!! spoiler: one of the ingredients is melted candy corn.
